A round table was held in Latvia on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev

On the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, National Leader of Azerbaijan, a roundtable discussion titled “The role of Heydar Aliyev in the establishment and development of Azerbaijan-Latvia relations” was held at the Academic Library of the University of Latvia.

Ambassador Elnur Sultanov spoke about the strategic vision and outstanding services of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern independent #Azerbaijan. The Ambassador highlighted the importance Heydar Aliyev attached to the development of relations with Latvia.

The event participants emphasized the historical role of Heydar Aliyev in establishing and strengthening of the Azerbaijani statehood, as well as in the development of strong Azerbaijan-Latvia relations. The event also included a screening of a short film illustrating the life and legacy of the National Leader.
